Currently Streaming on TUBI
Fabric Unraveled is an expressionist character study that explores the effects of memory and past experiences on relationships.
Giselle’s perception of her present is experienced through the filter of her past. She struggles to separate herself from her thoughts, and identify what is memory and what is not.
About the Film
At certain times in our lives we react to events based solely on our subconscious, or memories of similar events we have experienced. We could be reacting to something that stuck with us 5 years ago, rather than what is in front of us.
The aesthetic and structure of the film is designed to mimic how dreams and memories are perceived – as fragments, and fleeting images. Often out of sequence, or with several memories combined into one.
Fabric Unraveled is an independent feature film written, directed, filmed and edited by Erik Swanson. The film has just been completed and is aiming for a Fall release.
